I was fortunate to begin my career at EventScotland, a funding body that bids for major sports and cultural events on the world stage and a directorate of the wider tourist board VisitScotland.
Over a period of five years, I worked on hundreds of funded events that are a key critical driver for domestic and international visits and that support Scotland’s thriving creative industries, in partnership with sponsors, producers, artists, technicians, and private and public funding bodies.
Managing the production of event and festival on-site branding, signage, and print.
Producing advertorial and managing production of The List’s annul Guide to Scotland’s Festivals supplement.
Close working with in-house B2B events team to deliver the annual National Events Conference at venues including the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, as well as awards ceremonies and trade shows on behalf of VisitScotland.
Worked across VisitScotland consumer PR, including for the award winning Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink.
Demonstrated YoY impact and increased investment from government.
Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014: Secretariat for the Scotland House Steering Group and the Scotland House Branding and Sponsorship Working Group, working closely with leadership of major sports and cultural bodies.
